What Will Life Be Like In 2020?

The world in 2020 will be very different. They will have so many more technologies. Also the newer generations will be listening to different and cooler music. And they will be dressing way different from how we dress today. Just like now days teens wear clothes with holes in them and in the old days it was embarrassing to have holes in your clothes. Also we will have newer cars, food, and other daily things we use. The future can change so much. Anything is possible to change within the next ten years. I will be very suprised to see what will change.

Martian Mary

The title of the magazine I found was People. I found it in my house. This article is about Martian Mary. She has visited our planet and seen one of our magazines. And this is what she thinks. Mary sees a person on the front cover with a lot of headlines and words. She sees a women on the front cover with a lot of words around her. The words tell what is going to be inside the magazine. The majority of the articles are about teenagers and about famous people and there lives. The articles mostly tell us stories and it also has a lot of make-up and jewelry pictures. This tells Mary that all we care about is gossip and what we wear and what we think about other people. The people in the magazine are all looking very good and they don't have any pimples or bruises on there skin. Most of them are wearing nice new clothes that are bright in color and some holes in there pants. I think Mary the Martian would learn that our people are not like her people. She would think that they are way different.Americans should look like they all fit in. Most Americans try fitting in so much everyone starts looking the same. I think Mary would be surprised by the people at the local mall because of the clothes they were wearing. She would wonder why we dress like this. Marys sees that Americans desire the clothes they wear, there electronic devices, there money and a lot of other things in the magazines. Mary wonders why they desire so many things all the time. Also Mary sees that Americans love there food as well because she seen people eating in the magazine. According to the magazine, feminine means when you are a girl and you wear bright colors, have your nails done, be skinny, and wear high heels. Masculine means when a guy is strong, muscular, and manly. So therefore feminine and masculine are two different things that show how stereotypes affect men and women. I think magazines make Americans happy because we like to read about all the drama with the movie stars. Also we like to know what is going on in the world so we don't miss out on things. This is why I think Americans are happy because of magazines. I think she gets the heck out of here and goes back to her home planet because she sees we have to much drama and a lot going on, on our planet. She doesn't like earth because of all the mean and horrible things that are in magazines.

Prime Time

I use to watch the George Lopez show. It was always on nick at nite on my TV like every night. This show is very popular because of George Lopez. He is a very funny man and like to make jokes a lot. In this TV show George is married to Angie. Also he has two kids Carmen and Max. His mothers name is Benny and his best friends name is Ernie. When they get together for things they make a lot of jokes and it seems like there is a different conflict every new episode.There are three women in the cast. They consist of Angie, Benny, and Carmen. Angie 32 is years old, Benny is 63 years old, and Carmen 25 is years old.There are three men in the cast as well. And the men are George, Ernie, and Max. George Lopez is 50 years old, Ernie is 35 years old, and Max 14 is years old.

There are a few people in the cast that are over 40 years old. And that would be Benny, and George. Also George, Benny, and Ernie are overweight. The leading role of this show would be the man named George. The women characters are dressed with tight clothes on, and they always have new clothes on. The women in the show can be very moody at times and it happens a lot during the show. None of the women in this show are homosexual or minorities.

The intended audience for this show is people around 18 or older. I say this because they have some swearing and violence words and acts they use sometimes. And it seems like it would be too inappropriate for younger kids. Overall this show does not portray women. It might a few times but not enough to make it noticable.

My Ad

Frosted Flakes are related to my life because I grew up eating them and now my kids eat them. A lot of people loved frosted flakes because of there taste. Also people loved the song that went with frosted flakes and the tiger. You have to have a reason to like what you are eating. So why don't you make it fun with a song like Tony did. Everyone knows what the song is. It goes like this:
Hey Tony! I like the things you do.
Hey Tony! If I could I would be you.
You're the one and only tiger, the one and only taste.
You know how to take a breakfast and make it...GRrreat!
Frosted Flakes are more than good...they're GREAT!!

This is why everyone enjoys frosted flakes so much. They seen these commerials and ads on the TV, internet, and on cereal boxes. Kids just love to see Tony the tiger.

Association: The kids see the tiger having fun with the kids and they want to do the same as them.

Bribery: It says that it is less than 50 cents for one bowl and the nutrition facts are better for you.

Experts: Tony has a red scarf on and his finger in the air. Kids love animals and see the tiger and what to have the cereal.

Plain folks:The kids in the commerial look like average kids. They don't pick a certain group they just have ordinary kids.

Repetition: There is repetition in the song that Tony the tiger sings. It repeats it self over a few times. An example would be "Hey Tony!"

The Super Bowl

The Super Bowl allows advertisements of alochol and fast food/pop because they know people will see the advertising. They know people are watching the Super Bowl and will see the commercials and then see the advertising. I think the Super Bowl shows these advertisements because they know alcohol and fast food and pop are very popular. And the audience will like to see the commercials if they know what the product is and if they like the product. This is why I think the Super Bowl shows advertisements of alcohol and fast food/pop.

My Vote

As an American citizen I think it is important to vote in the election. If you don't vote in the election you can't express how you feel to the rest of the people. What if they was a tie for the presidents and you didn't vote. And then the president that you hated won the election. Then you would start to think that you should of voted and maybe the president you liked would of got president. I think voting is a privilege so I don't see why you wouldn't vote if you had the chance to.

Yes I realize that the presidential election was a year ago, but I did not vote. I didn't vote because I was not old enough. But if I was old enough I would of voted. If I had the change to vote I would of voted for McCain just because I like his view on some things. I liked the way he wanted our country to be. I think he would of done a lot better than Obama, but that is just my opinion. Everyone else has there opinion and I have mine.

Character

Have you ever heard of character counts? People think of character as the six pillars which are: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship. They use these six pillars of character to guide young children’s thoughts, words, actions, and habits they learn about character. It is good for young children to lean about character because it is an important thing in life. You use character or so many things I don’t think we could live without it.

You can describe character as many things. I think character is who we really are. Character is what we do when no on is looking because when people are looking you put on an act to try to impress people. And character is who you really are inside. Some example of character are self-control, flexibility, creativity, and many others. Self-control is when you reject wrong desires and do what is right. Flexibility is willingly to change plans or ideas without getting upset. Creativity is approaching a need, a task, or an idea from a new perspective.

So therefore character is used in many things in our life. It is used in games, the friends we have, books we read, words we hear, music we hear, the television we watch, and many other things. Character is there for us all the time but it isn’t used by us all the time. Although we know some people don’t use character we know that everyone is capable of using character. Life would be better off if everyone had the six pillars of character
